It is that time of year again. Your social media feed is chock full of posts about people talking about heading to the pinnacle reefing event in North America — MACNA. Now in its 26th year, the Marine Aquarium Conference of North America (MACNA) will be gracing the Mile High City of Denver and could be one of the best shows ever. Are you planning on attending?
This year there is a big emphasis on bringing in a globally diverse set of speakers and pushing our understanding of reef aquaria in a new direction. Just by looking at the credentials these speakers bring, you will be amazed by all they have accomplished for science and the hobby and we can see some thought-provoking sessions inspiring the next wave of the industry.
Of course there is all the latest equipment, gadgets and tools that gets us excited. Another aspect we always appreciate is the coral and livestock vendors on hand giving you plenty of eye candy to look at and give you the chance to get your fins on some cool new frags.
Finally, the best part of MACNA is the people that come. Being able to catch up with vendors and manufacturers, fellow hobbyists and all the friends we make in this hobby. The new friendships forged are incredible and make attending worth it on its own.
We hope to see many of you at the show and if you cannot make it, don’t worry we will be bringing you a slew of updates to get you as close to the action as possible.
