The reef hobby is a small, tight family and we are always sad to hear when we lose a member of the family. This past weekend, Alfred “Al” Armour, the owner of Dynamic Reef Systems in Carrollton, Texas., was tragically shot and killed during an attempted robbery of his business.
Al, the 37-year-old owner of the store, had recently opened the shop and was a growing favorite among the Dallas-Fort Worth reefing community. He leaves behind a wife and son and a huge group of friends.
The exact details are still a bit vague, but it appears early Saturday morning, Carrollton police responded to a burglary call at Dynamic Reef Systems and when arriving, they found evidence of a serious crime and break-in. Armour was not on site, but after investigating the police found a person of interest working at another local business. The person was eventually taken into custody and charged with capital murder.
