The Red Sea Max Nano which was unveiled at InterZoo uses the all-new Prime HD ‘HyperDrive’ from Aqua Illumination. Of course it does, but it wasn’t readily apparent at the InterZoo show since the exterior housing of the Prime HD is identical to its predecessor, the AI Prime LED.
As we’ve learned with today’s announcement of the Prime HD by Aqua Illumination, this new light is now even more powerful than before. And like the HyperDrive Hydras it can also direct power that you’re not using in certain channels and redistribute it to the LED colors that you prefer, either for illumination or just growth.
When Red Sea first announced that the Max S and Max E Series would both be using the Hydra 26 HD as its sole LED light source, it did occur to us that a nano Max with an AI Prime would definitely help to fill out the range. Now with the new Max Nano and the just unveiled Prime HD LED, Red Sea has a truly full stable of all in one tanks ranging in size from 20 to nearly 200 gallons.
We’re still awaiting final confirmation on price and release date for the Red Sea Max Nano with the micro Hot Rod Prime HD LED light. In the meantime, at least we can learn a lot more about the new lighting technology that will be powering it with the AI Prime HD LED.
