July 1st, 2022 sees Australian coral exporter Corals Down Under taking on new owners. First established in 2013 by Alex and Rebecca Doll, CDU has established itself as a major coral exporter from the Great Barrier Reef, and under its three new owners and two staff, they’re promising a bright future for the business.
From today Corals Down Under is now headed up by David Moore, Gemma Moore, and Joel Feeney. David has been in the industry for 20+ years working in retail, wholesale and commercial facilities. Gemma Moore has 10 years of sales and marketing experience in the industry and Joel Feeney is CDU’s Boat Skipper and Lead diver and is one of the most experienced divers on the Great Barrier Reef.
The new management team will be supported by Alice, another diver who has worked with Joel for many years, and Reuben, the Assistant facility manager. The takeover comes just in time for the new quota season. Alex and Rebecca have now retired from the coral industry to move to Tasmania, and manage their Oyster Farms.
We’re delighted to welcome Dave and Gemma as guest speakers at this year’s Reefstock Australia where they’ll be giving talks on wild-caught coral collection and their facility.
