British 3D printer Aqua Print has produced third-party angled nozzles for Aqua Illumination’s Nero flow pumps.
“The AI Nero range of Flow Directors allows you to direct the flow where you need it within your aquarium,” Aqua Print’s Jonny Prior told Reef Builders.
“With built-in interference blades set at 15 degrees, it directs the water in a given direction, denoted by the arrow on the casing of the product. The Directors simply slide over the Nero casing and clip on securely.”
“Once attached, the angle can be adjusted by rotating the Flow Director around the Nero body, all while in situ. The ability to direct the flow is a crucial feature in a lot of reef tanks.”
“Currently the entire Nero wavemaker must be moved to change where the flow goes. With the Nero Flow Directors, it’s simply a case of adjusting and seeing the flow pattern instantly after every adjustment.”
“Each comes with three colored inserts to allow you to tailor the look. We’ve got the Nero 5 and Nero 7 Flow Directors ready for release this week. The Nero 3 Flow Director is a work in progress.”
