Nick’s Aquarium Oceanarium Terrarium, located in North Lakes, Australia, has received some extremely nice pieces, such as the gold torch nem and fruit salad chalice, which have previously been featured on Reef Builders.
This time, Nick shared with us his out-of-this-world goni collection featuring some glitter morphs I’ve never seen anywhere else.
Nick runs the full Red Sea reef care program and keeps these Goniopora under Red Sea lights at their 15k setting. He keeps his parameters at the following levels.
Kh = 8.4
Ca = 430
Mg = 1380
Po4 = 0.02
No3 = 0.8
Now get ready for some real eye candy…
This is the Spencer Super Nova (SSN) it came from Live Coral Australia two years ago and it has been aquacultured since. This piece is reminiscent of the Amazeballs.
This is the Fletcher Fairy Lights (FFL) it was purchased 5 years ago from Oz Reef. Amazeballs + Glitter = FFL – I can’t imagine how much this piece would fetch in the American market – truly a combination of two of the most sought after goniopora morphs.
This is the “Milky Way” I have always had a soft spot for pink/purple gonis – throw in the glitter phenotype, yellow mouth and off green base and you’ve got a specimen that knocks the socks off nearly every other goni out there. This one is my personal favorite of the bunch.
A super nice pink glitter with hints of green on the oral disk along with blue tips. This species of “fat lash” goni is one of my favorites – they often have great extension and get very large lashes in captivity.
A classic green glitter with blue tips.
A super nice red/pink glitter with yellow eyes and blue tips.
A close up of a similar specimen – another one of the “fat lash” species.
A whispy lash red glitter with blue tips.
Another pic of the SSN.
A dark red glitter with orange/yellow oral disk.
Whispy lash red glitter with yellow eyes.
Red, yellow, green and blue tips – 4 colors on a glitter – talk about HOT
This orange glitter is one of my personal favorites of the batch – I have not seen one like this elsewhere.
And last but not least a green dominant glitter.
Hopefully in the future we can bring frags of Nick’s collection into the country to showcase and grow into colonies in the Reef Builders studio. While new glitter’s are always coming in Nick still has some specimens I sparsely or have never seen even on the internet.

If you’re an importer and you’re looking to bring some of these goni’s in the Milky way, FFL and SSN are currently available for export via Live Corals Australia https://livecoralsaustralia.com/
