Reef LED lights has your ultimate DIY LED light fixture

5

if you’ve been eyeballing commercial LED reef lights but haven’t yet found one that suits your particular need then consider the hefty DIY kits offered by Reef LED Lights. The fixtures that RLL provides through their kits and and in completed form are the epitome of no frills, but for that you also get a light that runs at the power you want, in the color you want, and with or without your lenses of choice. Reef LED lights gives you options of doing a simple strip, a value Cree XR LED model and a rocking Cree XP LED setup. The actively cooled LED setups may not be much to look at but with great LEDs running at optimal temperatures and using good optics you ought to really be able to build a decent metal halide replacement.

Hey, I have retrofitted their 12 LED fixture into an all in one 24 gallon and I am very pleased with my product. The instructions are great and most handy reefers will be able to put them together. What a fantastic price and I avoided having to buy a chiller while still getting the light needed for SPS. I am surprised I found this before I saw it on Reefbuilders. Typically you guys beat me to the punch.

Bill @ RLL is the man. These fixtures are no joke. 48 LED kit with a 24″ Heat Sink on a 40g Breeder and you will easily have 350 PAR on the sand bed. I know from experience!

I haven’t looked at prices in a while, all the letter schemes confuses the hell out of me, but they look fairly decent. I really like those strips that come prewired.

i ordered 30 cree strips from them and my tank rocks. i was saving for a AI fixture since i was scared to wire all those led’s myself but after talking to bill and buying the strips all went well and no more chiller needed. but i do think that 30 strips on my 260gal is a little overkill but i’m running them at 50% and happy so far.
