Elos Aquastudio France located in Nice, France

Elos AquaStudios are a far cry from the cramped and cluttered fish stores we have grown to love, combining the best of a gallery with a working fish store in a clean, enticing layout while showcasing all the great Elos gear. One of the latest Elos AquaStudio to open its doors is the Nice, France, location just a skimmers throw away from the wonderful beaches. Elos recently released a video tour of the location owned and maintained by François Nollet in a cozy, simple and beautiful store located on Rue Meyerbeer. Click through for the video slideshow.

The simple and clean presentation of the store allows you to get a true grasp of the beauty of the Elos products. On top of that, the store also has a fish and coral area making it a one-stop shopping experience. Besides the hardware and livestock, the Elos AquaStudio France location also carries the full line of Elos maintenance products. This looks like a wonderful location and if you happen to be in Nice, stop by and tell François “bounjour!” from the Reef Builders crew.

how on earth is that upper frag tank supported? looks like top and bottom tanks share a common side pane… but no way the sides and bottom are floating in-between?

It’s the magic of Elos!  But yeah at 2:05 you see what looks like an curved piece that  is indistinguishable from the side of the lower tank, as support for the top tank?  NO way that can be right.

Either way I wish them luck, I knew one other store locally that almost looked identical to this store, very open floor plan, “cashier area clean and separate” :) from the rest of the main store, no crowding of anything, and they did end up going out of business.. it’s a hard business to do, and there is a reason why stores tend to be cramped, it’s out of necessity not because they love the cozy closet feeling.

I have seen tanks built that way before.  The silicone is more than strong enough to hold the bottom in between.  Remember that the bottom is being held up by the front and back panels too.
