ORA’s new Green Planet acro is the latest new stony coral release from Oceans Reef & Aquariums which is grown out at their Florida facility. Bearing much resemblance to the famous ORA Red Planet table acro, the green planet is a near perfect emerald counterpart with similar growth shape, growth rate and appearance of the branches.
It remains to be seen how similar the ORA Green Planet is going to be in aquaria, but as fast as the Red Planet acropora grows in a variety of tanks, we can just imagine big green table acros in reef tanks across the country. Time will tell if the ORA Red and Green Planet acros are so similar to each other that they are not aggressive towards each other but if they aren’t, we could see the first double frags from ORA in the future.
