Video of a yellow tang happily swimming upside down; if we said nothing else but showed you the video, this would make your day. But we feel a little context is in order. May we present to you, not the rarest species of surgeonfish possible, but the rarest specimen in aquariums. Indeed the yellow tang is THE most common surgeonfish to be found in aquaria, but this Puerto Rican individual is anything but common.
These video clips of the loop-the-loop yellow tang were shared with us by Carlos Vincente who says the fish simply flips upside down and holds his inverted swimming like it’s a game. The upside down yellow tang is owned by Isaac San Román, owner of Aqua Reef in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
