Having found success when Royal Nature launched its first test kits back at Zoomark in May, the company had unveiled three more test kits check your nitrite, nitrate and phosphates levels. All three test kits are designed to be easy to use and read plus give you 100 tests per kit.
Instead of just slapping a label on an existing known kit, Royal Nature took the time to make these not only affordable but easier to read and more accurate. The biggest complaint on tritation test kits is reading the color shift to be accurate. Since color variation can be subject to many factors — ambient light, how you hold the sample, your own eyes — they wanted to take the time to use analytic studies to make the colors brighter to the average eye.
The Royal Nature Phosphate Test Kit is a two-step process using a liquid and powder reagent. The test measures PO4 levels from 0.05, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1, 3, and 5 ppm. As the company notes, PO4 levels in natural sea water is around 0.06 so it was important for Royal Nature to give hobbyists the ability to monitor it at a usable range. show the importance that the hobbyist should detect PO4 levels from 0.06 which is the level in NSW and up north… these small gapes can tell you about the accuracy of the test we have decided to give the hobbyist much better range and accuracy.
With the Royal Nature Nitrate tests, you also have a two-step process using two powders to measure No3 in ranges 1, 5, 10, 25 and 50. The Royal Nature Nitrite kits are a one-step powder test that uses similar ranges.
The kits should be available soon and should retail for around the similar price of the other Royal Nature test kits.
