The Radion XR15w Pro LED may be a smaller LED light from Ecotech Marine, but it’s still packing the whole suite of features which has made the Radion such a successful LED reef aquarium light. Priced at $449 for a single cluster you can think of the Radion XR15w as a high powered LED spotlight which can light anything from nano reefs to even deep reefs of a certain footprint.
The Radion XR15w is modeled after the third generation of the Radion LED light tiers with mushy, pressable buttons. Since it’s only got one cluster gracing the underside, the physical appearance of the Radion XR15w is differentiated by a top-loading active air-cooling intake, made easier to look at with an attractive honeycomb mesh grill.
One little-advertised feature of the Radion Xr15w is the ability to play nice with a single Radion XR30 for tanks in the three and five foot range where one less full-sized Radion is just not quite enough coverage, and another one might be a touch too much, but adding the half-stack XR15w is just right. Along those lines of course Ecotech Marine has mounting brackets to make the Radion Xr15w work with the newly announced Radion Mounting System.
While the Radion XR15w may be smaller than the XR30w, you’d be missing the point to call it a “nano led” light since its still packing tons of power, and the feature set of big boy lights.
