After years of using certain marine aquarium products and seeing their ads in various aquarium publications, it’s easy to let yourself believe that some companies are mega corporations that just crank out pumps and lights in a factory. Some aquarium companies may be like that, but Ecotech Marine has been a Made in America manufacturer of high end equipment for over ten years, and their origin story is one of legend.
Interestingly enough, Ecotech Marine is not all known on they product which their company was originally created to produce, an automatic stand alone kalkwasser unit which only saw limited production, and which Ecotech stopped making long ago. These days Ecotech Marine is best known for high performance Vortech water pumps, Radion LED lights, and the Ecosmart Live cloud based control platform which brings it all together.
While we anxiously look forward to Ecotech Marine entering new markets and product categories in the future, it’s fun to look back at how basic the origins of Ecotech Marine were when it began. It’s altogether even more commendable by the fact that Ecotech has always strived to source and manufacturer as much parts and labor in America, as this video clearly illustrates.
