C-scope refractometer from JBJ can be read by seeing impaired

JBJ C-scope refractometers is the newest addition to JBJ’s line of products and it aims to at least make the dern thing easier to read. In addition to the usual automatic temperature compensation, easy calibration and a rugged build, the JBJ C-scope’s one-upper is the 2x magnified dual specific gravity and salinity scale. We may have 20/20 vision but we’ll admit that sometimes the puny scales can be hard to make out. The JBJ C-scope ATC refractometer is availble now from Marine Depot now for a very reasonable $49. Is anyone else bothered by the salinity reading above of over 50ppt/1.040 S.G.?

At least with the “C-scope” you can read that it’s at 1.040, and take immediate action…
