Tunze has just released the Tunze Master Stream circulation water propeller pumps. These pumps are massive pumps intended for zoos, research institutes, rehabilitation clinics, fish-breeding operations and aquarists running large installations. There will be 3 different models (6508, 6512, 6515) ranging from 21,133 GPH to 39,625 GPH on the larger Turbelle Masterstream 6515. The pumps are 100% corrosion resistant by using microbicidial polymers and polyoxymethylenes and by using a titanium alloy motor axle. These pumps aren’t cheap though, with suggested MSRP’s in the $1,000 range, but as you might have noticed they push out serious water flow. After Turbelle® nanostream® and stream, TUNZE® is introducing a new class of pumps for the market segment of high-capacity propeller pumps, the Turbelle® masterstream. These new pumps are primarily intended for zoos, research institutes, rehabilitation clinics, fish-breeding operations, but there is also a model for aquarists running large aquariums, who need a powerful and wide flow rate for their reef tanks.

Turbelle® masterstream have been designed for maximum efficiency at economical energy consumption. On account of the new electronic TUNZE® PM motor operating on safety extra-low voltage, the pumps remain quiet even at top performance and in addition consume distinctly less energy for the same performance than conventional water pumps.

ECO ENERGETIC
A small sample calculation using Turbelle® masterstream 6515 (150 m³/h – 280 W) reveals that
energy efficient water movement results in enormous cost effectiveness:
Tank volume: 60 m³, flow selection by centrifugal pump (32 m³/h – 2,200 W). At an annual operating
time of 8,760 hours and a kilowatt price of EUR 0.20 this results in a cost saving of EUR 3,364 per
annum !
CONTROLLABLE PERFORMANCE
The Turbelle® masterstream are electronically speed-controlled pumps operating on safety extra-low voltage of 12 V to 24 V. They can be used ideally for water circulation, wave action or wave-and-tide simulations. The models 6512 and 6515 come with Multicontroller 7096.
A 12 V VERSION FOR SWIMMING POOLS
Model 6512 in 12 V technology and a flow rate of 110,000 l/h (29,058.9 USgal./h) has been designed especially for swimming pools or large
aquariums.
100 PER CENT CORROSION-RESISTANT
All parts of the pumps are made of sustainable active microbicidal (SAM) polymers and polyoxymethylenes (POM); the motor axle is made of titanium alloy; the motor and the electronics are cast in polyurethane (PU) resin.

NO EXTERNAL CONTROL
The pump control is integrated completely in the motor block ensuring a low-maintenance operation with high efficiency and ideal water cooling. All Turbelle® masterstream pumps only require one external power supply unit or safety connector with a corresponding directcurrent source (battery, solar cell, etc).

NO PROBLEM IN CASE OF POWER FAILURE
Fitted with Safety Connector 6515.50, Turbelle® masterstream can be operated on every 11 V to 24 V direct-current source (battery, solar cell). The safety connector permits normal operation with the TUNZE® power supply unit, but in case of a power failure it will automatically switch over to a car battery or a direct-current source.

Other power supply units for Turbelle® masterstream 6505, 6512, 6518 – safety connector
Turbelle® masterstream 6505, 6512 and 6515 are pumps fitted with an electronic motor. Thus, they can be operated on any direct-current
source (battery, solar cells) from 10 V to 24 V. For a safe connection to the pumps, the manufacturer recommends Turbelle® Safety Connector, article No. 6515.50. The safety connector contains a fuse and permits normal operation with the TUNZE® power supply unit, but in case of a
power failure it will automatically switch over to a car battery or a direct-current source.
