Eheim Scuba Cube nano aquarium gets redesigned to do the saltwater dance

6

The new redesigned Eheim Scuba cube is a cubed sized aquarium that is designed for keeping a saltwater tank. Apparently we have been living in a cube ourselves as this is the first time we have seen the redesigned aquarium since the freshwater version launched at Interzoo 2008. Glancing over the images for the new Eheim Cube aquarium it might resemble an Elos style aquarium to your eyes and our eyes would agree with you. There are two models available, with one displacing 166 liters (44 gallons) and the other 274 liters (72 gallons) and each model does give you the option of two trim colors, blanco (white) or a wenge. This Scuba cube is a kit, which includes lighting (4×24 T5), a stand with a sump down below and all the pumps and fittings you need. These nano aquarium kits have become very popular for persons living in a larger city or for those that do not want to hassle with buying each component separately. The Scuba cube tank is available in Europe only at the moment with no word on whether it will make the trek across the Atlantic. Our guess is no.

I hope Eheim’s customer support is not as bad with these as with their auto dosers and gravel vacs!!!!
I sent them a email about 3-4 weeks ago for parts on their website and NEVER GOT A REPLY BACK!!!
I am seriously thinking they are having some of their products made in that Asian country that makes everything for a bowl o rice a month!
We have decided to not sell anymore of their products until they can start replying to their emails, and their customer support gets better.

Great job on the advertisement Ehiem! That reefscape looks totally as if it were grown out in that tank- not at all like it was poorly photoshopped onto an image of the empty tank. Why not just set up an actual scape (even if it was just rocks and sand) take some pictures… and do the tank justice. Fail.
