InterZoo 2012 in Nuremberg Germany was an amazing time, and a stimulus overload for any diehard aquarium and reef tank junky. The amazing displays found in the InterZoo booths of Rio, Ecotech Marine, GHL and Schuran are all given a little bit of love in this video highlight reel by Gilles van den Hoven. We spent so much time hunting and gathering marine aquarium products, we were delighted when Dutch Reef Builders reader Gilles offered to contribute some video coverage of a small sample of InterZoo 2012′s aquarium product companies. Thanks to Gilles contribution we spent even more time gathering even more reef aquarium news at InterZoo 2012, and we still have a lot more to tell you about.

GHL showed me the retail price of the Mitras, very, very expensive.

Well now I just HAVE to get an underwater treadmill for my dog.

    I want another mp40 now.

  • under cover

Like 40% of that footage was thunderstorms.. I will never understand the fascination with that.

most of the video was ecotech and others were skimmed over

  • JakeAdams

Apparently YOU skimmed the video because Ecotech got exactly 90 seconds of frames and GHL’s Mitras LED was featured for 131 seconds, but who’s counting ;)

Is the dog the new vortech pump? costs ~1000 + food? Sounds like thier new innovation!

Yeah, to  me it looked like someone with a camera taking flash pictures over the tank… whooooo thundery!

I know the Vortech demos were more a proof of concept, but it seems awfully silly to have a wave that large… oh hey look I can only fill up my tank about 2/3rds full with water but look at this wave! :D

The MP60 wave (with the 3 “stacked” tanks) did look cool though as it wasn’t a standing wave but had a bit of oscillation in it…  now if I could just get that to work on my tank, when it has all sorts of rocks and what not in it…

There was a reason for that, since Jake (standing next to the tank at that time) wanted the new GHL Mitras led thunderstorm on film.

Thunderstorm effect, what a rubbish gimmick if i ever saw one. The Vortech waves look hypnotic all going together like that!
