Baby bandit angelfish, Apolemichthys arcuatus, from Hawaii seem to be popping up all over the place and two of Japan’s powerhouse rare fish dealers have stepped up with nice videos of their tiny bandits
.Both Blue Harbor and B-Box Aquarium are well known for handling their share of rare fish but it’s only recently that they’ve taken to video documentation of their fish treasures like B-Box Aquarium’s Lipogramma klayi and their blackspot pygmy angelfish and Blue Harbor’s Rainfordia. Continue reading to take a peek at two separate and pretty deccent videos of juvenile and uber cute baby bandit angelfish.
These baby bandit angelfish are much smaller than what you would typically find in the American market, about half as large as the juvenile bandit angelfish that we visited ourselves at the home of Chris Campbell. At this tiny 1-2″ size bandit angelfish are really rare, therefore much more expensive but they are also much more likely to take to prepared foods and acclimate to aquarium life.
B-Box Aquarium has a tiny bandit angelfish that is barely over an inch long but the smaller they are, the more expensive the bandit angelfish becomes, well over $3000 if you want B’Box’s tiny black and white.
Blue Harbor Japan is no stranger to rare fish, especially when it comes to miniscule rare angelfish like the tiny masked angelfish which they also previously housed with a tiny Apolemichthys arcuatus.
