The TMC MiniLED 400 is a new LED aquarium light that is a great fit for smaller nano aquariums but could also be teamed together for coverage on larger saltwater or freshwater systems. The initial version is using just white OSRAM OSLON SSL high power LEDs giving you a 6,500K look that may be too yellow for the avid reefkeeper but should make a perfect fit for fish only tanks, refugiums and planted freshwater systems.
The dimmable MiniLED 400 uses a mere 12W of power, is small and waterproof. Measuring in just under 6 in. on each side (14.5 x 14.5 cm) this diminutive light is sealed in a waterproof casing and runs off a low voltage DC power supply. Additionally it is compatible with all other AquaRay products including the Modular Mounting System (MMS) and controllers. According to Practical Fishkeeping, the TMC MiniLED 400 should be available at the end of May with no price set yet.
