Jason Isley staged some humorous and creative photos of marine life while diving. In his description, he cites that he was bored photographing macro life in typical fashion. Which explains these great photos. Not only are these pics amusing, they also provide us the opportunity to look at things differently. Along the years, we’ve seen similar efforts done in reef tanks. Small easter island statues with Acropora growing on them, a fake plastic sunken ship, etc… It definitely has the potential of messing up a tank’s beauty, but sometimes it’s done right and adds the right level of flavor. If you have done something similar in your reef, we’d love to see it. More of Jason’s pics can be found on his flickr page here.
