We haven’t seen that much information from Smart Reef. whose new aquarium controller platform made some debut appearances this fall in Italy. Seemingly the first component of the Smart Reef system to be seen in full is the intuitive Smart Touch interface seen here running on a tablet which appears to be an Apple iPad.
The confusing part is that it seems like Smart Reef is selling an iPad 2 as its touch controller which has us wondering if this is a rooted Apple tablet reprogrammed to specifically run Smart Reef software, or if it is a tablet which has an in-house loading of their own iOS application. A tour of the Smart Reef website reveals that Smart Reef has big plans for their controller platform, now they just need to get more of it our into the world in front of reefers’ eyes.
