SEA Atlanta filtration room is pimped out with MRC Commercial reef equipment

By on Oct 11, 2011

There are fish rooms and then there are filter rooms – SEA Atlanta’s dedicated chamber of life support is an excellent demonstration of a lot of My Reef Creation Commercial equipment. Unlike the coral propagation room that we showed this morning which focuses on how much corals can be grown and displayed, this filter room is not just about housing large scale marine aquarium equipment but also about showing it off, and giving viewers some understanding of what it takes to run fish and corals systems greater than 1000 gallons in volume. Redundant pumps and filter socks, self cleaning kaldness bioreactor and self cleaning protein skimmer, a mega-size UV sterilizer and lots of fancy plumbing is all explained in this walkthrough by Tim Woolston of MRC.

No joke, one of the nicest filtration rooms I have ever seen.  Top-notch quality all the way around.
