Repashy Superfood for reef fish is a brand new extension of a line which has been getting lots of love in the freshwater and reptile world. Although the Repashy Superfood is very new, it is a very old school throwback to days of making your own gel food using whatever ingredients you want and binging it together with some form of gelatin.
The new Repashy gel foods for the reef scene include Reef Scraper which is an ‘Aufwuchs‘ gel premix, Reef Prowler is a gel mix for the big fish predators while Reef Hunter is yet another gel formula with a recipe composed strongly of invertebrate derived ingredients. The deal with gel foods is that they fit a niche between frozen and prepared foods as the gel food is refrigerated during and after congealing.
Gel foods like Repashy’s Superfoods offer a density of nutrition which is higher than frozen foods, but with less water, and in a form which is fresher and more digestible than cooked dry prepared aquarium foods.
