Some stupid idiot stole clams from OC Aquatic in Huntington Beach

If you’ve seen the perp in the images above, please contact the police immediately as this douche bag has stolen three large Maxima giant clams from the LFS. The three valuable clams were stolen from OC Aquatic in Huntington Beach, California and they are offering a substantial reward for information leading to the arrest of this stupid idiot. With the economy being what it is and fish stores dealing in a luxury market, it’s pretty selfish to screw over any LFS like that. Thankfully, OC Aquatics and many retail fish stores are well equipped with security cameras and the dirt bag was caught on video with multiple angles of his stupid face. Also, it seems like fish store theft and vandalism has a good track record of coming to justice. Let’s see if we can spread the word and nab this tool.

thumbs up for that store to put security cameras.. not enough stores invest in security and computers in general ( backups of data etc )

If they catch him, I hope OC Aquatic gets all three of their giant clams back in stable conditions..
If they don’t catch him, I hope all three giant clams shrivel up and wither away along with the perp in the corner of his insignificant room..

@ James B – Are you saying that if they don’t catch him you would want him to actually receive satisfaction from stealing 3 huge clams? Idk but if you ask me that is the least that should happen to him. I want the best for both the clams as well as OC Aquatic in case you missed the first part of my last post. Whether he sells them off or keeps them, they survive then he wins..

The problem is that unless this guy is a loner, has no friends, and never lets anyone see his tank, he can no longer sell them. If he doesn’t, then he will let them die because he cant keep them. Unfortunately, I would fear the worst.

It’s a very sad story. Having been in the shop owner’s shoes myself I know the feeling. One thing about thieves is they always come back for more. lets hope he doesn’t see all this publicity and comes back for a few more clams. The ultimate ending to this would be if he gets caught in action by the shop owner.

Had this happen when I was working at my LFS ten years ago. Dude used a big gulp with saltwater in it to transport the clams out of the store. Clams are always hard because typically they are displayed in shallow tanks where there is a much easier opportunity to grab them.

Anyone that uses any raw material or product from the earth is profiting from mother nature. Please do not be so naive. And for all we know these could be aquacultured specimens meaning they are profiting from their hard work raising them and not directly from the ocean.
