The Slim Skim performer nano protein skimmer from Hydor is an internal model with a fresh new design. The Slim Skim Nano produces a froth of extremely tiny air bubbles and it also looks good while sitting inside of your nano to medium sized reef aquarium. But don’t take our word for it, check out this video we made of the Slim Skim Nano doing it’s fractionating thing on a 28 gallon EcoMini reef tank. After running the Slim Skim Nano we are pleased with the amount and density of the skimmate, even if the foam tends to push the lightweight lid off of the collection cup. It’s just the skimmer’s way of reminding us that it needs to be cleaned.
