From Japan with love: Japanese angelfish, Randall’s assessor and crescent-tail fairy wrasse

11

Route 66 Marine is well known for being a balling coral supplier but as of late they’ve been getting more and more into the rare and unusual marinelife. First it was the true personifer angelfish, Chaetodontoplus personifer, then the Lennard’s wrasses, Anampses lennardi  but now Route has landed a really sweet care package of reef fish from Japan.

Japanese pygmy angelfish, crescent tail fairy wrasse and that fantastic Randall’s assessor will soon be distributed to some of of the usual high rolling fish houses including LiveAquaria and House of Fins. As cool as all these Japanese fish are it’s probably the beautiful neon yellow anemones which will be making the biggest splash in heterotrophic reef tanks across the country.

WOW!!!! That is an amazing looking angel. I always said the Potter’s was my favorite looking pygmy angel but not any longer! Something about those colors (orange and blue) do it for me, but the pattern on this one vs the potters really stands out. Time to start saving.. for a few years it looks like, to get one of those bad boys ($1500+).

    Great picture! Thanks for sharing.
