Whether you are into chalices, scolies, acans or some other group of ravenous heterotrophic large polyp stony coral, either way by now you should have learned that your fleshy stoneys really love to be target fed with little bits of meaty foods. We personally find it very rewarding to feed our LPS corals one at a time, once in a while, jsut to make sure everyone is getting a little extra sumthin, and to do a visual check of the LPS crew. What we aren’t particularly fond of is using turkey basters with really large tubes and openings which tend to clog with food, and then critically overdose when you apply a little pressure to get the jam out. Hopefully, Rio’s new Coral Feeders are not like turkey basters. The extra long pipettes are over 16″ long and they should help you get the reach on target feeding all of your LPS treasures with meaty foods. We haven’t yet handled these outside of their packaging but if you have a place in your coral maintenance toolbox for the full set, it has recently gone up for preorder at The Depot for $19.99.
Rio Coral Feeders enable you to get all medieval on target feeding your corals
