RevoReef 3DM Rock is an interesting new aquascaping material recently announced by Qian Hu at InterZoo 2016. UNlike so many man-made rocks used in reef aquarium in recent years, RevoReef 3DM Rock is neither purple, nor it it made out of dense concrete or ceramic.
Rather, Qian Hu describes its 3DM Rock as being reef friendly synthetic live rock which is mineral based, which is 100% safe and ready to use right out of the box. The mineral based RevoReef 3DM rock buffers seawater at a pH of between 8.1 and 8.4 with between 1000 to 2000 square meters of effective surface area per liter of the stuff.
All sales pitches and spin aside, when we first saw the new RevoReef 3DM Rock we just simply liked the look of it! The shape and texture of these rocks is very natural looking, and the rock is soft enough to be drilled and cut to get your aquascape exactly how you want.
The gnarly texture of the 3DM rock is very appealing, with lots of nooks and crannies to place your corals and frags, and plenty of naturally shaped holes for fish to swim through. The RevoReef 3DM Rock will be available as 20Kg boxes in countries where RevoReef products are sold, alas American reefers will have to wait until an official distributor is created for the North American market.
