As aquarium controller companies have released more device, modules and accessories, it’s become increasingly challenging to keep everything in an organized, presentable fashion. GHL has been expanding their catalog in recent years so Adaptive Reef created a very swanky tower to showcase the many exciting products that have joined the Profilux in recent years.
Once upon a time it was much easier to keep everything sorted back when most controllers only had one or two boxes beyond the primary computer. We’ve seen companies like SeaDreams specialize in building setups that incorporate all the modules for our smart aquarium tech into one holistic presentation, and even Marine Depot’s gotten in on creating ‘Controller Boards‘ that help keep everything nice and neat.
However there’s something about seeing a custom solution like Adaptive Reef’s Tower of GHL modules that really got our attention at Reefapalooza Chicago. The entire setup neatly included placement for the GHL Profilux, the newly announced Ion Director, the KH Director, a few Doser 2 (to assist the Directors) and even the larger Doser Maxi with built-in inlets and outlets for water, waste and reference solution along the back.
In this context, with all the devices stacked and working together to provide an automated and actually smart control of reef aquarium chemistry, the Adaptive Reef GHL Tower really reminded us of a pimped out computer tower. Since Adaptive Reef built this rack as a demo for Reefapalooza we’re not sure if there’s set price for the GHL tower but we know Adaptive Reef would be happy to build one for the diehard GHL fans that plan to go all-in with the Profilux and its supporting modules.
