AI Sol and AI Nano LEDs will soon be able to enjoy the same wireless control as the “Phoenix”

AquaIllumination wirless module

The new AI Phoenix LED has built-in wireless connectivity which will communicate with a web-enabled black box but what about the AI Nano and AI Sol? AquaIllumination has not forgotten its workhorse Sol and cute little AI Nano which will both get some long-distance loving.

A diminutive little wireless module is coming soon to enable the AI Sols and Nanos with wireless connectivity and it will easily and unobtrusively plug into the 1/8th inch jack that is on these AquaIllumination lights. The add-on wireless module for AquaIllumination LED lights will launch this fall for an expected retail for about $49, about the same time that the base unit becomes available.

Good idea and decent price, but but it looks like an(other) ugly afterthought AI accessory. I wonder how will it integrated with commercial controllers???

Actually if you think this way that is my fault. While trying to get a good look at this tiny accessory I gave you an up close shot which makes it look huge but it’s the same width as the AI Nano is thick, and it is really small an unobtrusive. Pictured is a prototype add-on wireless module which is made with prototyping material, not with the fit and finish of the final product.

It would be great if they can put the jack closer to the bottom so that the top/bottom of the module is exactly on the same height as the fixture.
